In its second year, L&F was funded through an Arts Council England Grant for the Arts. L&F expanded it's partnership with Manchester's transportation hub, Metrolink. By continuing to utilize the public trams as performance spaces the festival was able to bring artwork to all corners of the city. 2012 included work from artists outside of Manchester, with the goal towards expanding its role as a national platform for up-and-coming practitioners.
