I am a theatre practitioner and educator with a background in directing, writing, producing, and designing media and projections. I cut my teeth as an improv actor in Chicago.

My interest in theatre practice intersects with my research interests in performance. How and where do we construct our identities and commit them to everyday life? The material world, such as our geography, our economic access, and (perhaps more potently every day) our technologies, affects the phenomenon of what makes us who we are and behave or act the way we do.

"Our whole guise is like giving a sign to the world to think of us in a certain way but there's a point between what you want people to know about you and what you can't help people knowing about you. And that has to do with what I've always called the gap between intention and effect."     - Diane Arbus
